However, consumers should be aware that nutrition marketing can also be found on foods highly discouraged by dietary guidelines. Using standardized methods to classify different label components can be useful to identify gaps in nutrition regulations such as the lack of QUID and regulated supplementary nutrition information on Canadian labels and can be used to compare results with other countries where more extensive policies and regulations have been introduced.
